A live showcase of art, music, poetry, and craft, the Evening of Creativity is a longstanding event organised by Erdington Arts Forum.
Held the third Friday of every month since 2017, the Evening of Creativity has been celebrating local talent and inviting artists from outside the area to perform in Erdington.
Alcohol is not sold at Oikos but people are invited to bring their own.
This Friday 19 November, the Evening of Creativity will present three stand out musicians – each bringing a different genre to life in a special live performance.
Charlotte Champian is a Birmingham based ‘singer, song-writer and composer of jazz-infused pop and soul’.
Having just released her debut album, As the Summer, Charlotte recently played at The Sunflower Lounge in August and will be supporting Moon Panda at the Actress & Bishop this November.

Also performing will be electronic producers EiF, accompanied by pianist Melissa Morris – who graduated Birmingham Conservatoire with first class honours.
EiF combine ‘electronica, neo-classical, ambient, electro-acoustic, world music’ with ‘clean-cut beats and unlikely instrumentation’, producing a dynamic and unique sound live on stage.
EiF released their first mini-album, Away from Here and Now, on London’s Bit-Phalanx Records in 2016, followed by ‘Human Animal’ EP in 2018. In 2020, ‘Skyline’ in March and ‘Mutation’ on Erbium Records in April.
EiF have performed all over the world and with many well-known vocalists and musicians, including BBC’s Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2019, Xhosa Cole.

Sutton Coldfield based singer-songwriter Hyde Phillips will also be on stage at the Evening of Creativity this Friday, with arts and craft workshops for children being held off stage in the café throughout the evening.
